In 1972, a contractor named Gurney J. Bush purchased the old Root-O-Matic Sewer Cleaning Company.
Starting with a new name, just three people, limited equipment and a business that was largely local and residential, he quickly began expanding into commercial, industrial and municipal markets and purchasing newer, more sophisticated equipment as he went.
He reasoned that Gurney J. Bush, Inc. would be a name worth remembering if consistent quality service was a priority.
He was right!
Today, with a staff four times its original size, Gurney J. Bush, Inc. offers 24-hour service and has the state-of-the-art equipment necessary to perform such functions as drain cleaning, pipeline cleaning, pumping and transporting, sewer televising and locating.
