In 1972 a Master Plumber and Licensed Plumbing Contractor named Gurney J. Bush, purchased the old Root-O-Matic Sewer Cleaning Company.
Starting with a new name, just three people, limited equipment and a business that was largely local and residential, he quickly began expanding into commercial, industrial and municipal markets, and purchasing newer, more sophisticated equipment as he went.
He reasoned that Gurney J. Bush Inc., would be a name worth remembering if there was a consistent pride of service.
He was right!
Today, with a staff four times it’s original size, Gurney J. Bush Inc., offers 24-hour service and has the state-of-the-art equipment necessary to perform such functions as drain cleaning, pipeline cleaning, pumping and transporting, sewer televising and locating.
